Tigers boss Richard Cockerill could welcome key pair Geoff Parling and Tom Croft into his selection thinking next week against Toulon.
Tigers boss Richard Cockerill is set to welcome back lock Geoff Parling and flanker Tom Croft into his selection thinking next week against Toulon.
The England international duo, who have been out with respective concussion and knee issues, will be huge additions for European action.
Parling and Croft should be back one week after hooker Leonardo Ghiraldini, prop Marcos Ayerza and winger Niki Goneva return from Test duty.
“Geoff Parling has been recovering from some concussion issues and is a week away from playing,” Cockerill told the Leicester Mercury.
“Croft trained today and hopefully will start to get himself back in the fold to be picked.
“He is close. His knee is good and he will certainly be fit for Europe.”
Leicester are currently tied with the Scarlets in Pool 4 of the Champions Cup, on four points, with Toulon four ahead of the duo ahead of facing the Tigers on back-to-back weekends.
