Reds star Quade Cooper wants to put in a top performance against the Chiefs in what might be his final game at Suncorp.
Cooper's move to Toulon is yet to be officially confirmed, with talks ongoing between the fly-half and the ARU.
A shoulder injury picked up trying to tackle Rebels forward Toby Smith forced Cooper to miss six games for the Reds.
However he returned in style last week against the Force with two tries in an impressive performance.
“I pushed myself very hard to get back from that because I felt I let the boys down with my last injury,” Cooper told The Courier Mail.
“I felt it was something that was avoidable.
“The bloke was 120kg-ish. Whether I made the hit, completed it or put him on the deck it was still a risk of me being injured.
“In the NFL, quarterbacks are told to slide before contact because any time they get tackled there’s a risk of injury and putting their team in a tough spot.
“There are moments that you’ve got to put your body on the line. That was one but, in hindsight after getting injured, it was something I felt was little bit silly.”
