Coombs blasts Dragons over rescinded medical aid
Former Wales international Andrew Coombs has blasted his former club Newport Gwent Dragons for taking his medical aid away.
Coombs, who was injured while playing for the Dragons, has taken to Twitter to lambaste his old team in the wake of his medical aid being cancelled without giving him the option to take the costs up himself.
Because his required treatment is not covered by the NHS he will have to pay thousands of British Pounds.
Newport Gwent Dragons have yet to respond.
Player Welfare and Duty of Care to players @dragonsrugby is a total embarrassment. 10 years of loyal service to RP this is how they treat me pic.twitter.com/izAK95q79m
