Connacht endure nightmare trip home
Connacht might have picked up a win in Krasnoyarsk against Enisei-STM but getting home from Siberia has not been so easy.
The Irish province were meant to head home on Saturday before a technical difficulty with their plane kept them in Krasnoyarsk until Monday.
The squad was then split into three groups to travel to Moscow but upon arrival the squad's short-term visas had expired, adding another delay.
A post on Connacht's Facebook page read: "18 hours since the first group left hotel in Krasnoyarsk and three separate flights brought us all back together in Moscow Airport where we've been for almost 8 hours, working through Visa issues and sorting flight connections.
"One group are currently checking in for Amsterdam, while the remainder wait for visa confirmation and potential flight to London."
The squad even had video sessions for this weekend's game with Brive at 1am local time in Russia in order to try and reconfigure their body clocks.
While the game itself in the snow might have been a fun experience, the travel certainly hasn't been.
At this rate, we'll be home for kick off on Saturday, #StrandedInMoscow #Shambles #RoadToGalway
