Combrinck set for lengthy lay-off

Springbok winger Ruan Combrinck is set to miss the opening rounds of the Lions’ Super Rugby campaign due to injury.

According to a Lions medical report, Combrinck underwent an operation on his right shoulder on Wednesday.

“He sustained a fracture in his shoulder joint in the Springbok match against Wales,” said the report.

“He will be out of action for approximately four months.”
