All Black hooker Dane Coles lauded Springbok captain Adriaan Strauss' staying power and fitness ahead of their clash on Saturday.
South Africa and New Zealand clash in Durban this weekend and arguably the world's premier hookers will face off against each other.
The Bok skipper was instrumental in his side's 18-10 win over Australia last weekend and his performance didn't go unnoticed by his rivals.
"He made some good runs and his set piece was strong. For a hooker to play 80 minutes at this level is pretty massive," Coles told News24.
Coles was in awe of Strauss as he praised his opposite number.
"He's one of the world's best hookers," he added.
"I thought he was really good, leading from the front and obviously he's the captain so that's good for his team.
"The best way for your team to improve is for your captain to perform … I thought he was awesome."
