Leicester Tigers boss Richard Cockerill was left with mixed emotions after a tough victory over Newcastle Falcons.

The hosts came back from a 10-0 deficit at Welford Road to secure a sixth Premiership win of the season.

Despite that Cockerill revealed the squad were disappointed was aspects of their game, although he was happy to take away four points.

"I'll take the four points but we were pretty ordinary today," said Cockerill.

"We were inaccurate and created lots of opportunities but Newcastle came and fought hard and made us work very hard for it, but I'm a bit disappointed in how we played for obvious reasons.

"We had opportunities to score but we were inaccurate with the ball and kept giving it away and turning the ball over.

"As you saw at the end of that first half, we probably should have been ahead at the break if we'd been a bit smarter.

"We'll all be a bit frustrated but we'll get back to a proper training week this week and those no distractions for the really big game down at the Allianz (against Saracens) next week.

"Were doing some good things, we'll be disappointed tonight about how we played but that's the standards that we set."
