An injury sustained by Samoa hooker Ti'i Paulo in the Round One opening win against Grenoble has left the 2010 champions a little thin in the middle of the scrum.

France international Benjamin Kayser, one of three players seriously injured during a pre-season assault, is in the squad.

However, Kayser is one of 30 players name in France's national group and therefore his availability is complex.

Former Brumbies and Waratahs hooker John Ulugia is the remaining option, with Clermont now casting the net for some short-term cover according to L'Equipe.
