Clermont and Georgia flanker Viktor Kolelishvili is unlikely to play again this season after rupturing his ACL against Toulon.

Clermont and Georgia flanker Viktor Kolelishvili is unlikely to play again this season after rupturing his ACL against Toulon.

Kolelishvili is set to be out for around seven to eight months according to the club.

Suffering a ‘total rupture’ along with injuring his internal and external cartilage in his knee, the serious injury will require a reconstruction in the coming days.

Kolelishvili was part of the Georgia side that faced Ireland in November, with the flanker attracting attention after a stray boot caught the eye of Irish flanker Dominic Ryan.

Clermont face Munster in the Champions Cup this weekend.
