Reigning champions the Chiefs will enter Super Rugby on the back of an impressive 43-19 pre-season victory over the Blues in Rotorua on Friday.
The men from Hamilton scored six tries in all to the Blues' three and sprinted out of the blocks, leading 21-0 at one stage with Rhys Marshall, Liam Messam and Sam Cane all crossing.
Charlie Piutau did hit back with a brace for the Blues that made it 24-12 at half-time after Aaron Cruden had slotted three points via the tee.
But after the break it was another barrage from the champions, with new trio Nick Croswell, James Lowe and Robbie Fruean going over before former Chiefs centre Jackson Willison added a consolation score for the Blues to make it 43-19.
