There were victories for Stade Français, Bath and La Rochelle in the three Challenge Cup fixtures that took place on Thursday.

Stade Français sealed five points against Timisoara Saracens, with La Rochelle doing the same against Bayonne while Bath beat Bristol.

Stade Français 27-0 Timisoara Saracens

Stade Français bounced back from last Thursday's defeat to Harlequins as they overcame Timisoara Saracens 27-0 at Stade Jean-Bouin.

The Parisians were leading 22-0 at the break thanks to tries from Jules Plisson, Faraj Fartass and Djibril Camara, with Morné Steyn sending over seven points off the tee as he started at fly-half with Plisson outside.

However, there was a scoreless spell from 20 minutes gone until 53 minutes before Sylvain Nicolas finally broke the deadlock for 27-0.

But that was the lot in terms of points in Paris as Stade hardly wowed their supporters en route to a sloppy bonus-point victory at home.

Bath 22-6 Bristol

Bath made it two wins from two in the Challenge Cup as they saw off rivals Bristol 22-6 in a low-scoring affair at the Recreation Ground.

It took until the 80th minute for a try to be scored and it was in-form centre Matt Banahan who crossed, with Rhys Priestland converting.

Bath led from the seventh minute as Priestland nudged them in front and with a Billy Searle penalty for Bristol, it ended 9-3 at half-time.

Penalties remained the order of the night at the Rec as Bath went 15-6 ahead before Banahan scored in the closing stages for the gloss.
