Challenge Cup draw pleases Robinson

Bristol boss Andy Robinson revealed he was "really pleased" with the club's Challenge Cup draw on their return to the Premiership.

The club have been drawn with local rivals Bath and Cardiff Blues in the group stage.

"I'm really pleased with the Challenge Cup draw," Robinson told the club's website.

"It's great that we've got a local derby against Bath and another local derby against Cardiff as well.

"The games Bristol and Cardiff played against each other in the 1980s and 1990s were fantastic games of rugby.

"To have a French side, in Pau, to go down and play against… I was lucky enough, when I was coaching Bath, to play against Pau in the European Cup semi-final. I know what a good side they are.

"They are three cracking teams to play against and I think we are looking forward to being in Europe and playing those games."
