Harlequins have confirmed that centre Tom Casson will join Championship side Yorkshire Carnegie from next season.
Since joining Quins in February 2010, the hard-running and aggressive centre has made over 60 appearances, scoring on seven occasions.
The 25-year-old played an integral role during the successful 2011 European Challenge Cup and 2012 Premiership campaigns and also scored a stunning try during the LV= Cup final victory over Sale Sharks in 2013.
"I have known Tom since he was 17 and wish him all the best for the future," said Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea.
"He remains an outstanding prospect and if he can get a good run of games with Yorkshire Carnegie, I have no doubt he will prove again that he has what it takes to make it at the highest level of the game.
"He is one of the good guys, whom I will miss on a personal level and I would like to thank him for everything he has contributed over the years to the success we have had.”
Confirming the news, Casson added: "I've been at Harlequins for five years now and I've loved every minute of it; I'd like to thank everyone who has made it so enjoyable. Winning the LV= Cup in 2013 was a stand-out moment for me as I won playing alongside some really close friends.
"I'm really excited to join Yorkshire Carnegie as it provides a new opportunity for me. I'm looking forward to being closer to my family and beginning a new challenge in my career.”
