Carter gives Racing an injury scare

Racing 92’s away defeat to Lyon came at a cost when star fly-half Dan Carter was forced of the field late in the first half through injury.

The former All Black pivot limped off with what looked like a groin injury in the 32nd minute and was replaced by Benjamin Dambielle.

Racing 92 were leading 13-10 at the time but and although they led 19-13 at half-time Lyon launched a stunning fightback in the second half and went on to claim a 37-25 victory.

The result leaves Racing, who are the defending champions, in 10 place in the standings. See page.
