Canada make Cup quarters in Vancouver

Canada progressed to the Cup quarter-finals of the Vancouver Sevens after winning two of their three matches on Day One of the tournament.

In front of close to 40,000 supporters, the Canadians beat Scotland and Russia before losing by a point to New Zealand in their last game.

Canada will face off with South Africa in the quarter-finals, with the Blitzboks having beaten Chile and Kenya before drawing with England.

The other quarter-finals feature USA against Argentina, New Zealand taking on England, a repeat of two of last week’s last-eight showdowns in Las Vegas, with Fiji and Australia going head to head in the fourth quarter-final at BC Place on what should be a thrilling finale in Canada.
