Canada loose forward Adam Kleeberger has joined London Scottish until the end of the season, it was announced on Monday.
Canada loose forward Adam Kleeberger has joined London Scottish until the end of the season.
27-year-old Kleeberger, who joined from the British Columbia Bears in Canada, won praise for some impressive performances during the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand.
He was named man-of-the-match in Canada's 25-20 win over Tonga in their opening match at the tournament.
London Scottish coach Simon Amor is delighted that Kleeberger has joined the club.
“Adam will be a very important player for us over the remainder of the season,” he told London Scottish's official website.
“He is an international player who has performed to a high level on the biggest stage of them all, and he will add a greater physical edge to our play.
“He was an iconic player in New Zealand, and his rugby reputation speaks for itself. I am delighted to welcome him to London Scottish, and look forward to seeing what he can do,” added Amor.
Kleeberger will be the third player from the recent World Cup in New Zealand to represent London Scottish this season following the signing of Argentine stars Agustin Gosio and Alfredo Lalanne earlier this year.
He will be available for selection for their Championship fixture against Moseley December 26.
