Saracens flanker Jacques Burger will appear before an independent Judicial Officer after being cited for striking Racing-Métro scrum-half, Maxime Machenaud.
EPCR received a citing complaint against the Saracens back row following the European Rugby Champions Cup quarter-final at Stade Yves-Du-Manoir on Sunday.
Burger is alleged to have struck Machenaud, in the 40th minute of the game in contravention of Law 10.4(a).
The complaint was made by the match Citing Commissioner, Eugene Ryan.
Simon Thomas has been appointed as the independent Judicial Officer for the hearing which will take place on Thursday, 9 April.

Under World Rugby's Sanctions for Foul Play, Law 10.4(a) carries the following sanction entry points – Low End: 2 weeks; Mid-Range: 5 weeks; Top End: 8 to 52 weeks.
