The Bulls v Brumbies clash has been brought forward 24 hours to accommodate SA's President Elect's inauguration ceremony.
SANZAR has announced that the Bulls v Brumbies clash scheduled for Saturday 24 May has been brought forward 24 hours to accommodate the inauguration ceremony of South Africa's President Elect, Jacob Zuma.
South Africa held national elections on Wednesday with Zuma's ANC re-elected to government in another landslide victory.
The re-match of last year's Super Rugby Semi-Final will now be played on Friday 23 May at Loftus Versfeld, kicking off at 19:10 local time (03:10 AEST and 05:10 NZST, both in the early hours of Saturday morning).
“SANZAR thanks the South African Rugby Union, SuperSport and both the Bulls and Brumbies for being so accommodating to this scheduling change around what is an important constitutional event for the Republic of South Africa,” read a statement released on Friday.
