Blue Bulls centre William Small-Smith will miss Saturday's clash with the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein due to a knee injury.

Blue Bulls midfielder William Small-Smith will miss Saturday's clash with the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein due to a knee injury.

Small-Smith sustained a bone bruise in the Bulls' 26-15 loss to the Sharks at the weekend and will not be fit to face the Cheetahs, team doctor Org Strauss confirmed.

Meanwhile, flanker Jacques du Plessis will sit out training on Monday due to a quad contusion, but will train on Tuesday.

Scrum-half Lohan Jacobs has been declared fit following a hamstring strain. Ryan Nell is also fit following an ankle sprain.
