Bulls linked with De Jager

Cheetahs lock Lood de Jager is reportedly a transfer target for the Bulls as they look to add a star name to their pack.

De Jager, the South African Player of the Year, could make the switch from Bloemfontein to Pretoria this year according to Rapport.

The Bulls have been hit hard in their pack by the departures of senior players in Victor Matfield, Flip van der Merwe and Pierre Spies, and De Jager would add real Test quality.

By making the switch De Jager would also be following in the path of his Springbok team-mate Adriaan Strauss, who re-joined the Bulls in 2015 after seven years with the Cheetahs.

"There will be some acquisitions," a source told Rapport.  "We are aggressively looking for players who will make an impact in the pack."
