Bulls bring in Van Zyl

Springbok scrum-half Piet van Zyl will wear the Bulls number nine jersey in Saturday's clash with the Stormers in Cape Town.

Van Zyl, who started against the coastal side in the season’s opener in February, comes in for injured Rudy Paige, while coach Frans Ludeke added another Springbok, midfielder Jan Serfontein, to his run-on side.

The incumbent Springbok centre is fit again after a hip flexor injury and will start in place of Burger Odendaal, who deputised for Serfontein the last four weeks.

The rest of the matchday squad is the same that beat the Sharks in Durban last weekend, except for Akona Ndungane, who will take Van Zyl’s spot on the bench.

The veteran winger will make a first start in this year’s competition if called into action after making his last Super Rugby apearance in the final pool match of the 2014 competition against the same opponents.
