Brown in clear, Castrogiovanni cited

England full-back Mike Brown will face no citing from Six Nations organisers as they said his use of the boot on Saturday was accidental.

Brown attempted to disrupt the ball at a ruck in their clash with Ireland at Twickenham, but caught the face of scrum-half Conor Murray.

Murray required stitches because of the connection with his face but after watching replays of the incident, organisers saw no malice.

Elsewhere after the latest round of Six Nations matches, Italy tighthead prop Martin Castrogiovanni has been cited for allegedly stamping on a Scottish opponent, contrary to Law 10.4(b), during the defeat in Rome on Saturday. His hearing will be held in London on Wednesday.
