Worcester Warriors have signed versatile Canada back Connor Braid until the end of the Premiership season, the club announced on Tuesday.
Braid, who can play at fly-half, in the centre or the back three, will join his new squad following Canada’s match with Samoa on Friday.
The 26-year-old playmaker has been capped 21 times by his nation, with his latest coming last weekend in Canada’s clash with Romania.
An able goal-kicker he has played for Canada on the World Sevens circuit and featured for Glasgow Warriors during the 2014/15 season.
“With recent injuries to Ryan Lamb and Tom Heathcote, we’re delighted Connor is able to come in and bolster the side in the number ten position,” said Worcester head coach Carl Hogg on the club website.
“He has plenty of experience in goal-kicking while his versatility across the backline will also be of great benefit.”
Braid added: “I’m thrilled to be joining Worcester and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch to show what I can do.”
