The town of Bordeaux will host this year’s Top 14 semi-finals, after fending off competition from Nice and Marseille.

The town of Bordeaux will host this year’s Top 14 semi-finals, after fending off competition from Nice and Marseille.

Taking place in June next year, the semi-finals will be played at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux, which has been constructed ahead of Euro 2016.

The new 42,000 seater stadium will host the first game on Friday, June 5, with the second fixture coming the following day on June 6 in the ground’s first major event.

This season’s Top 14 Final will again be played at the Stade de France, with the 2015/2016 final moving to Barcelona.
