One bookmaker has closed its market on England centre Sam Burgess signing for Super League giants Leeds Rhinos after "a series of bets came in".
Burgess, who plays club rugby for Bath, started for his country in their Rugby World Cup defeat to Wales and was on the bench against Fiji and Australia.
And according to a spokesman from Sky Bet, they have been wary of leaving the market up for too long as Burgess was heavily backed for a shock move.
"We received a number of requests on our Twitter account for Sam Burgess to sign for Leeds Rhinos shortly before and after England lost to Australia," he said.
"We went up originally at 8/1, then went down to 6/1 after a series of bets came in.
"We've since taken the market down in case some people know something we don't!"
