Bonnaire rules out France return

Clermont back row Julien Bonnaire has played down rumours of an international return insisting he’s played his last game for France.

The 36-year-old is enjoying yet another impressive campaign for les Jaunards who currently sit top of the Top 14 while they are also on course to reach the knockout stages of the Champions Cup.

He has not played for France since the 2012 Six Nations when he initially announced his international retirement, however there have been rumours over the last year that he could be tempted to return for les Bleus.

Backs coach Patrice Lagisquet had even admitted that France might consider some veteran players for the World Cup squad, with the likes of Bonnaire, Clermont teammate Aur
