Cardiff Blues scored a whopping 16 tries as they thrashed Rovigo 104-12 in Friday’s European Challenge Cup clash at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park.
It was a harsh lesson for the Italian side as tries from Lloyd Williams (2), Josh Turnbull, Richard Smith (3), Rhys Patchell, Sam Hobbs, Ellis Jenkins, Cory Allen, Macauley Cook, Scott Andrews, Kristian Davey, Gareth Davies and Lewis Jones gave the Welsh side a comprehensive victory in front of their home fans.
They now go five points clear of London Irish, who host Grenoble on Saturday. The Blues know that next week they must travel to France but have done their chance of quarter-final qualification no harm at all with this record-breaking win.
