Blues attack pleases Williams

Cardiff Blues scrum-half Lloyd Williams is excited by his side's attacking qualities as they made it three PRO12 wins from three on Saturday.

Their 23-19 victory over Glasgow Warriors at the Arms Park came on the back of beating Edinburgh and Munster in a fine start to 2016/17.

Williams started his first game of the season against the Warriors and with nine tries in three fixtures, he feels the Blues are in good form.

"When we attack well, which we've done so far this season and over the past 12 months, we're a tough team to defend against," he said.

"The way we played our game is where we want to be – playing an attractive style of rugby. We enjoy playing like that and hopefully the crowd enjoy it."

Up next for Cardiff Blues is a trip to Zebre, which is a place they've struggled to win in recent seasons. That's keeping Williams focused.

"It's a nice place to be, but it's still early days. We're three games down in what is a very long season," added the Wales scrum-half.

"We don't want to get ahead of ourselves. We haven't won out in Zebre for three years, so next week is a big week for us. We really want a result out there."
