Blue Bulls duo Dries Swanepoel and wing Jade Stighling are fresh injury concerns for coach Nollis Marais ahead of Saturday's clash with the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

Team doctor Herman Rossouw said the players sustained their injuries in the Pretoria-based union's 45-26 win over Western Province in their Currie Cup opener at Loftus Versfeld last weekend.

"Dries sustained an injury to his quad and had an ultrasound done which is looking positive," he told the Blue Bulls' official website.

"A decision on his availibility will be made later in the week. We are also waiting for the results of Jade's scan but I think it's unlikely that he will feature in the next four weeks."

Meanwhile, Rossouw revealed that lock RG Snyman has returned to training, after injuring his ankle while on duty for South Africa 'A' against England in June, and is available for selection.
