The Blue Bulls have suffered a setback when it was revealed that lock Jason Jenkins will be sidelined for up to six weeks with a knee injury.

Bulls team doctor Herman Rossouw said Jenkins sustained the injury to his ankle during the defeat to the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein last weekend.

Meanwhile, Rossouw also confirmed that wing Jade Stighling, who injured his ankle in the Bulls' Round One victory over Western Province, will undergo surgery and will also be out for six weeks.

In other injury news, Travis Ismaiel is not fit to return to action as he's groin strain has not healed yet, while Dries Swanepoel is still recovering from a quad ailment and a decision on his availability, for Friday's clash with the EP Kings in Pretoria, will be made later in the week.
