Crusaders head coach Todd Blackadder believes his side "have got some work to do", despite their bonus-point victory over the Lions on Saturday.

The 34-6 victory saw Andy Ellis, Kieron Fonotia and the returning Kieran Read get tries while they were also awarded a penalty try in the dominant result.

But Blackadder wants to see better handling from his men against the Cheetahs.

"I still think we have got some work to do," said the Crusaders boss.

"Defensively we were high today, tackling high and allowing them to get over the advantage line."

He added: "I thought Wyatt Crockett was unbelievably strong, the whole eight did a great job."

"Against the Chiefs (in their 40-16 loss a fortnight earlier) we knew we didn't have our best day at scrum time and just put the work in."
