Bayonne captain Mark Chisholm is set to leave the relegated French club and return to Australia.
Rugbyrama report that the 33-year-old is set to return to his home country following the club's relegation from the Top 14 at the end of last season.
Chisholm has a year to run on his contract with the club but Bayonne are willing to end his deal early given that he holds the biggest salary on their payroll.
The former Brumbies lock had been in talks to join promoted club Pau in recent weeks but those negotiations appeared to have ended.
Chisholm won 58 caps for Australia between 2004-2010, scoring six tries, and made over 100 appearances for the Brumbies in Super Rugby.
