Bath are still interested in acquiring the services of Wales back-row Taulupe Faletau even though the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) have rejected the Dragons' request to sell the player.
That is the word from Bath head coach Mike Ford who said he hopes to lure the British and Irish Lions number eight to the Premiership club in 2016.
Wales coach Warren Gatland vetoed a prospective move from the Dragons to Bath as Faletau is still contracted to the WRU.
"If he's available next summer – which he is – then we'll look," Ford told the BBC.
"It's disappointing, but Warren and the Welsh Rugby Union have got every right to keep him there.
"I don't get involved in the politics of that but he's gone now, unfortunately for him, for us and for Dragons."
Faletau would be free to move to Bath in the offseason of 2016 unless he signs a new Welsh contract before then.
The 24-year-old did not accept the offer of a national dual contract early this year and it was subsequently withdrawn.
