Bath head coach Mike Ford has revealed that the club have signed Samoa international scrum-half Kahn Fotuali'i from Northampton.
Speaking to BBC Radio Bristol, the Recreation Ground boss said he was excited to add the experienced back to his squad for next season.
"We've got some great youngsters but we're going to get that experience, Luke Charteris, (Taulupe) Faletau and Kahn Fotuali'i," Ford said.
"That's the experience that we need."
Fotuali'i told BBC Radio Northampton: "I've enjoyed my time here. I'm sad to be leaving a big club.
"I've got another big challenge in front of me and I'm pretty excited about it."
Bath ended their Premiership season on a high note on Saturday, beating Leicester, but finished the campaign in a disappointing ninth spot.
