Bath have announced that young second-row Charlie Ewels and hooker Tom Dunn have both inked contract extensions with the in-form Aviva Premiership side.
The move sees the duo make the step up from the Academy to the senior squad from 2015/16.
Ewels, 19, has enjoyed a meteoric rise this season, making his starting debut against European giants Toulouse. Hooker Dunn, 22, has 22 senior appearances under his belt, including an eye-catching performance in last season’s Amlin Challenge Cup final against Northampton.
“I’m really pleased for Charlie and Tom because they’ve represented the Academy and the Club well when they’ve been given the opportunity in the first team, and they’ve been rewarded for that. They’re shining examples to the other Academy players who will be playing in the Aviva A League and the LV= Cup this season,” said Academy Director Danny Grewcock.
Bath Head Coach Mike Ford added: “These two players have shown how to make the step up to the first team. Their progress and development is indicative of how well our Academy system is working. They’ll have big roles to play within the Club in the years to come.”
