Treviso are waiting for the arrival of fly-half Marty Banks, with his manager saying they are working on his “next steps” in terms of rugby.
Banks, who has played for the Hurricanes and Highlanders in Super Rugby, has been superb for Tasman in the Mitre 10 Cup in recent years.
However, he failed to nail down a starting jersey in Super Rugby and was subsequently signed by Treviso for whom he should have arrived.
According to his manager Dan Kane “there is no story”, but Treviso have recently deleted Banks as a player profile from their club website.
“We’re just working through Marty’s plan at the moment so nothing to comment on,” Kane told Stuff about the ongoing situation surrounding the playmaker. “We are working through Marty’s next steps in terms of rugby.”
Stuff report that in September, Italian publication Gazzettino suggested Banks was looking to terminate his contract but the club had refused.
