Argentina prop Marcos Ayerza knows what will be required if his side are to pick up a win Paris this weekend against France.

Los Pumas bounced back from losing to Scotland with a slim win over Italy last Friday.

Ayerza is aware though that Argentina have failed overall to carry the momentum from their win over Australia in the Rugby Championship through to the November Tests.

Rounding off their year in Paris with another win would be a good accomplishment, especially considering France’s performances in the last two weeks.

“We’ve arrived at the last game of the year for this Argentina side. France had a good win over the Wallabies and played with real power and strength,” said Ayerza.

“We’re coming in from two games where he haven’t been able to carry on from where we left off in the Rugby Championship, in terms of our confidence and high level of play. That’s why we owe a performance.

“Our defence can’t drop against France and have to keep our discipline.

“Those two things are so important, as well as maintaining possession and managing the game well.

“Playing against a side like France, who move the ball around and have more attacking structures, we’re going to prepare a little differently in terms of how we mentally approach the game.”
