Waratahs back Adam Ashley-Cooper could return to action in two weeks, according to the player, as his rehab continues.
Ashley-Cooper hasn't played for a month after a Baker's cyst behind his knee exploded, in a rare case for the side's medical team.
Next weekend's clash with the Stormers will come too soon for the Australia international but a return beyond that isn't far away.
Matt Carraro has filled in dutifully for Ashley-Cooper at outside centre in his absence.
"I'm back running, which is good news," Ashley-Cooper told AAP.
"I'm just hopeful that 90 to 100 percent won't be too long (away)."
