Sale winger Tom Arscott says he is on track for a full recovery after an ACL injury against Northampton Saints.
Arscott has used the off-season break to get stuck into his recovery program and is feeling a lot more sturdy now.
"I'm getting there. It was slow to start off with, but now I can do a bit more and it's getting a bit easier and then you feel like you are recovering quicker," Arscott told Sale's website.
"I'm not missing it too much at the moment, as they are getting flogged around by our Strength and Conditioning Coaches! However, it was tough towards the end of last season, not being able to get out there and be involved, and to be honest not being in the club that much, as I had a lack of mobility.
"I'm two and a half months post-op now, and I'm getting to do more – I was off crutches a couple of weeks ago and it's getting easier now."
The former London Welsh player is looking forward to playing again in the upcoming season, when the club will be playing in the Champions Cup.
"I'm excited definitely, it should be an exciting one with the squad we've got. We've had quite a lot of turnover this year, but kept a lot of good players," Arscott said.
"A few big names have left, and the new boys coming in are very good so I'm excited to see what we're going to be looking like over the next few weeks."
