Yorkshire Carnegie have completed the signing of former Sale Sharks wing Tom Arscott for the remainder of the 2016/17 Championship season.
He joined up with his new team-mates this week and is set to feature this Friday in the clash with Jersey Reds over in the Channel Islands.
Arscott left Sale Sharks last month having previously played at London Welsh, Bristol and Plymouth Albion and is happy to secure his move.
“I am really pleased to have joined up with Yorkshire Carnegie and looking forward to getting started against Jersey on Friday,” he said.
“It has been a tough few weeks but I am looking forward to letting my rugby do the talking for the remainder of the season. I have been made to feel really welcome by the Yorkshire lads and it has certainly helped that I knew quite a few of them from previous clubs.
“The Greene King IPA Championship is a tough division and it has got stronger in recent years since I last played in it. The lads were disappointed with the defeat against Cornish Pirates last weekend but the talk is all about getting things back on track and challenging London Irish all the way until the end of the season.”
Yorkshire Carnegie head coach Bryan Redpath added: “We are delighted to have secured a player of Tom’s experience and quality for the remainder of the season. We have a number of options in the backline and Tom will certainly add to that.”
