Les Bleus came into the game on the back of a promising wins against Fiji and Australia, but as has often been the case against Argentina, they were out-fought and out-thought.

The visitors showed greater aggression all over the park, and opened up a 15-0 lead in just half an hour thanks to the boots of Nicolas Sanchez and Juan Martin Hernandez.

This November France had not trailed in either of their previous games but they looked overwhelmed as soon as they found themselves chasing the score with Argentina eventually slotting four drop goals, in addition to a couple of penalties.
