Munster prop Stephen Archer will miss Saturday's Heineken Cup semi-final against Clermont due to a wrist injury.

Archer is looking at a minimum four-week recovery period after dislocating a bone in his left wrist.

Doubts also remain over many other key players in the Munster squad, including Peter O'Mahony (hip), Donncha O'Callaghan (knee), Keith Earls (hamstring), James Downey (hand) and Doug Howlett (shoulder).

Munster come into the match after resting several of their first-choice players in their 30-24 loss against the Dragons on Friday.
