Leicester have been hit by an injury setback after inside centre Anthony Allen's injury woes continued when he was ruled out for up to three months.
Allen, whose career has been plagued by injuries, had surgery on a leg issue which, according to the Leicester Mercury, may have led to gangrene.
The 27-year-old England centre is now set to miss Leicester's remaining Heineken Cup Pool fixtures, joining fellow backs Manu Tuilagi and Mathew Tait on the Tigers' treatment table.
Leicester began their Pool campaign last Friday with a 22-16 defeat to Ulster at Ravenhill.
