All Black coach Steve Hansen has hinted that he could experiment with the selection of his team for Saturday’s clash with the Wallabies in Brisbane.
With the Bledisloe Cup already secured, Hansen said this weekend’s clash could be an appropriate occasion for him to alter his starting line-up.
“The All Blacks jersey doesn’t allow you to experiment too much,” he told reporters before flying from Christchurch Airport to Brisbane on Monday.
“There’s a responsibility to put the best team on the park. But you have to be comfortable if there are changes they are to going to represent the jersey the way you want.
“If there’s ever a game where we might make some changes, this would be it.”
Despite those comments, Hansen gave little away as to who he would pick in his starting XV.
“There’s no point in me telling Ewen McKenzie what we’re doing yet,” he added.
“It’s only Monday. We don’t have to do that until Thursday … Three of you have asked the same question and it’s the same answer.”
