Additional players for Heineken Cup

A host of players, including Mike Phillips and Rene Ranger, have been given the go-ahead by European Rugby Cup to play this weekend.

Several players, notably Rene Ranger and Mike Phillips, have been given the green light by European Rugby Cup (ERC) to play in the tournament.

Racing-Métro's new recruit, Wales scrum-half Phillips, who has already played for Bayonne in the Challenge Cup this season, is one approved.

The Parisians will also be able to count on South Africa prop Brian Mujati while Montpellier's All Blacks centre Ranger and New Zealander prop Paea Fa-anunu, and Clermont's Samoan number eight Fritz Lee were also given the go-ahead.

Toulon have swapped in hooker Craig Burden for Sebastien Bruno, Ryan Wilson replaces Peter Murchie for Glasgow Warriors, while the Cardiff Blues add Chris Dicomidis for Lou Reed.
