Steyn replaces Martin Rodriguez Gurruchaga in Stade Francais' 38-man squad, while prop Michael van Vuuren also comes in for Benjamin Chabert.

Elsewhere in the Challenge Cup, Worcester Warriors have brought in hooker Nick Seymour for Chris Brooker ahead of their clash with Biarritz; Bucharest Wolves swap prop Constantin Dumitru for Madalin Baudalea, and Marland Yarde makes way for Ed Hoadley in the London Irish squad.

Meanwhile, Treviso have added prop Matteo Muccignat to their wider Heineken Cup group to face Ulster in place of Fabio Staibano.

Sila Puafisi replaces James Simpson-Daniel for Gloucester, and Leicester Tigers register Tiziano Pasquali with Samoan prop Lugovi'i Mulipola dropping out.

Niall Ronan makes way in the Munster squad for Tommy O'Donnell, and Sam Williams is brought in for the Ospreys as Tom Smith is left out.

The Scarlets deregister Gareth Thomas for prop Horatiu Pungea for their clash with Clermont, while Toulouse leave out winger Yves Donguy as they prepare for a revenge mission to Connacht
