Ian McGeechan knows all about the qualities of the flanker from their time together at Wasps
British and Irish Lions head coach Ian McGeechan knows all about Worsley's qualities, on and off the field, from their time together at Wasps.
An all-action flanker willing to put his body on the line, the 31-year-old was one of the stars for England in their 2009 RBS Six Nations campaign.
Worsley was named man of the match for his display in a losing cause against Wales in Cardiff, when he was deployed in midfield to counter the powerful running of fellow tourist Jamie Roberts.
The youngest player to represent England Under-21s, 'the man known affectionately as Melon Head' made his full international debut in 1999.
He was part of the World Cup-winning squad of 2003 but has since struggled to make himself a permanent fixture in the back-row.
Worsley, who can feature at six, seven or eight, is the only English flanker to make the trip to South Africa.
