The 33-year-old openside flanker has represented his country in 89 Tests since making his debut in 1996, and, after originally calling time on his international career after the 2007 World Cup, he was persuaded to return and he inspired Wales to Grand Slam glory the following year.
As well as his international achievements, Williams also played an integral part in helping his domestic club Cardiff Blues end a nine-year trophy drought by winning the EDF Energy Cup final in 2009.
