Robbie Deans: won't discipline duo

Wallabies boss Robbie Deans admits to being disappointed by Kurtley Beale and James O'Connor's late night out but said he did not consider dropping them.

The Rebels duo were pictured with a fan in a fast-food outlet in Melbourne at 3:50am on Wednesday morning. The Australian Rugby Union established the duo had not been drinking but stated that the situation was "not ideal."

While deciding not to discipline them, Deans was unimpressed by Beale and O'Connor's poor judgement.

"That's not an ideal hour," Deans said.

"We've had a conversation for sure. Suffice to say it wasn't a comfortable conversation.

"They haven't broken any team protocols, but obviously it's not best practice. They understood that, but it was too late. Yes they will be prepared for this game."

Wallabies outside centre Adam Ashley-Cooper said the incident has not disrupted Australia's build-up to this weekend's second Test in Melbourne.

"It's not ideal but we're too far into our preparations to let it affect us," he said.

"We're focusing on Saturday."
