Wasps wing Christian Wade has been called up by the British and Irish Lions and withdrawn from the England side to play Argentina in Buenos Aires.
The tourists were on Saturday left sweating over the fitness of centre Jamie Roberts (hamstring) who joins George North as being a concern.
Wade is the third Englishman to be called out to Australia after prop Alex Corbisiero and centre Billy Twelvetrees were recently flown over.
"We have obviously got ongoing treatment of some players so it's prudent to make sure we have enough backline cover. Christian played well in the first Test against Argentina and is match fit," said British and Irish Lions coach Warren Gatland.
